How we review

Budtronic reviews are based on hands-on use and measurements. Until a product has been tested, we say so: its verdict reads "test pending".

Our process

1. We buy the product or borrow it, and we note who supplied it.
2. We copy specs only from the maker's own page and show the date we checked. Unchecked specs read "to verify".
3. We run the same tests for every product in a category (listed on each guide).
4. We publish measurements, what we liked, what we didn't, and who it's for.

What we don't do

• No invented specs, prices, star ratings or reviews.
• No paid placements. Makers and retailers can't buy a verdict.
• Prices change constantly, so we link to the retailer rather than quote one.
